A strong earthquake hit Bhutan, yesterday evening. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration pacific tsunami warning centre based in the US, the epicentre of the earthquake was in Sikkim, India. It measured 6.8 magnitude on the richter scale. The earthquake was felt as far as Trashigang (eastern Bhutan).
